The Layers Beneath Our Skin

Project details

Programme
Studio 3A
Year 3

A speculative proposal for improving passive healthcare through architecture and landscape, by activating bodily aches and pains as treatments against mortality. This project explores how the design of the built environment can enhance passive health through therapeutic qualities, addressing the intersection of space, well-being, and social health outcomes. It seeks to challenge the dormant state of the human body commonly present in society today, afforded by the culture of sedentary living and the convenience of avoiding strenuous physical activity.
